Sometimes life throws me lemons

Got a letter from the government,
that says they overpaid
and now they want it back again.
I really was dismayed.

by a driver that didn’t stop.
The bumper’s bent and mangled
and now she’s out of pocket.

These things should make me angry,
but I don’t want that in my life.
I’m gonna smile and let it go.
I don’t need that kind of strife.

I sent out a call for coffee,
friends replied from across the globe.
Local Kerry came to the rescue.
You always give me hope.
