30: The Words Don't Lie

I’m in no hurry to start my day,
plenty of things I’d rather say,
with pen in hand and paper beneath,
tumbling words across the sheet.

Everything else will have to wait,
I find it hard to motivate,
myself to move out of this bed,
until I’ve writ what’s in my head.

Why this obsession has taken over me,
or where it will end, I cannot see;
but write I must, the words just flow,
queuing to be crafted, longing to be known.

Their home is not just my abode,
these words that come, to the world are owed.
I have a duty to get them out,
for all the world to see and shout.
