152: Disappointed

Disappointed
Today’s not the day
Disappointed
With myself for feeling this way.

Disappointed
For being so cut up
Disappointed
Thought I was made of stronger stuff.

Disappointed
Because I know the future’s bright
But it doesn’t help
Joy simply won’t ignite.

Disappointed

Because my mind keeps straying back to you
Disappointed
Because there’s nothing I can do.

125: Waiting

He was waiting at the station

Glad to be lost in the throng of evening commuters
This time every day was precious to him
Nothing to do, nobody to interrupt his thought.
Eyes closed stood leaning back against the wall
Rhythmic breathing calmed him and allowed him to connect
Breathing in three times calling her name in his head
Felt pressure building in his chest
Heart filling with the sense of her.
Lungs full he released the energy back with his outward breath and waited
As next breath came he was jolted by a shock of energy
She was here, she was with him.
Though they were far apart he communed this way every day
Meditation was what got him through this self-imposed pain of separation
One day he would get on the train and go back to her
One day
But not today
He wasn’t ready.

81: Calm Before The Storm

Waiting, waiting
Time for change
Face it, face it
Don’t delay
Dig deep, dig deep
Lead the way.

Move on, move on
The time is now.
Stay calm, stay calm
Let nothing show.
Walk tall, walk tall
And let it go.

Breathe, just breathe
And go with the flow.

It’s just a room
In a public building
This is no prison
Unless in your mind.
The people are all scared
Don’t take on their cares
Relax your body
Let your mind unwind.

The past is flown
The future is unknown
What more is there to say?
Love your life
Live your love
Enjoy being here today.

Yes, you can enjoy
What once was raw
Open your heart
And step through that door.
